We would like to share today’s public launch of MochiAds with all our MochiBot users. When we’re not working hard on making MochiBot better, we also support another product MochiAds, an advertising network for flash game developers to make money off of their games. Today we officially throw open the doors to the public.
MochiAds is a free way for independent game developers to make money from their creations by inserting ads into games, without the hassle of contracts or exclusivity. Wherever games travel on the web, you get rewarded for plays. Our tool allows control over where and how often ads show on a per-domain basis, and we also provide cool perks like hosting your game on our servers and reaching millions of peeps through our distribution deals.
We hope you check out our new site! Send us an email at team at mochiads.com if you have any feedback or questions.

There was an outage of the system today for a few hours so your stats may have a gap in the data. The issue has since been resolved and measures have been put in place to monitor for the abnormality that was hit.
We’re still ironing out some bugs with the recent upgrade so we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

As many of you may have noticed over the past few weeks the MochiBot reports fell further and further behind. Everyone here has since put their efforts behind upgrading the system to get the reports up to date.
Once you’re logged into MochiBot you’ll notice much faster response times and also up to date reporting (just like the good ol’ days). The one thing that has changed in this new release is the Host Report. The report differs from old in that we no longer list out all of the host URLs. Instead we just list the domain where the SWF is being hosted with the ability to link directly to that file. We did this for a few reasons with the greatest being system performance improvements.
We hope that you enjoy the upgrades that we’ve made and if you don’t then please let us know by emailing us at feedback at mochibot.com. Please also let us know if you run into any bugs.

There are a lot of Flash animators and game developers out there that have had encounters (good and bad) with Ebaum’s World. News broke recently that Eric Bauman, founder of Ebaum’s World, just sold his company for $17.5 million.
That’s great for Eric! However, much of that value was built from the amazing games and animations that you, the community, built. Unfortunately not everyone in the community benefited in the same way. And thus, our company mission is to change that with MochiAds and MochiBot.
You all are doing great things as a community and we hope to continue supporting the growth!
Rock on!

Our most recent development at Mochi Media has been to create a single sign-on system for all of our Mochi properties called MochiPass. The internal project name for this system was MochiPass and since it became so dear to us we decided to keep the name. Now you can simply login to both MochiBot and MochiAds with your alias or email address. Not all of you use MochiAds so this may not be of much use, but as we release other products in the future this will hopefully be more relevant. In the meantime you can enjoy some new features of MochiPass such as being able to log in with either your email or alias, an improved remember me system, and a pretty new login page.
If you run into any issues logging into MochiBot then please drop us a line at “support at mochibot.com”.

We’ve been making some upgrades to MochiBot recently and one of the main servers silently crashed last night without us noticing. Fortunately, the problem has since been fixed but we didn’t capture any data for the time that the server went down. We fixed the issue today around 11am PST so the stats you see tomorrow might look a bit strange.
Back to work for us.
Have a great weekend!

Mochi Media is working furiously on expanding and improving it’s products! To do this we need a kick-ass visual designer to join our ranks. You should be adept at web and interface design, with some XHTML/CSS skills for mega bonus points. You’ll be working with the team to develop new ideas on both MochiBot and MochiAds, as well as working on our new super secret classified projects. (Not to mention you get to work with our Mochi character ^__^)

It’s been a while since I last posted an update so I just wanted to let everyone know that we’re still here and working as hard as ever. You’ll be glad to know that we’ve been making some updates to the backend of MochiBot. We haven’t pinned down a release date yet, but we’ll definitely make an announcement once it’s all finalized.

The guys at Ninja Kiwi recently released a game called Bloons that has been taking the gaming community by storm. When I first saw the game I didn’t think much of it. But then once I started playing it was soon apparent that this game was going to be a hit. Who would have thought popping balloons as a monkey would be so much fun.
The game play is simple yet highly addictive. The graphics and sound quality all blend in to make the experience of the game quite enjoyable. You don’t have to take my word for it though. Bloons has been topping the MochiBot charts since its release and we don’t forsee a change anytime soon.
Enjoy the game and just be careful because you’ll quickly get sucked into some serious time wasting. I have yet to beat the game, but I’m on level 42 now and will soon achieve Bloons greatness! muahahaha

We just finished upgrading both our servers and the network that we run on. The upgrades will increase the speed of the system and give us some greater stability. It’s been a while since we last upgraded the servers. In fact it had been some 500+ odd days since it was last rebooted. That’s pretty cool! =)
You may notice a small dip in your traffic and that’s during the time we were running the upgrades. Sorry for any inconveniences!
