I wonder…if your site is down and a viewer tries to see one of our movies, will it generate an error, or will it just send the packets to nowhere and crank on (the latter is definately more perferrable)?

If our servers are down then nothing will happen. The person viewing your SWF won’t see any difference. The only negative is that you’ll see a dip in your stats because no data was being recorded.
Our first priority is to never affect the developer’s SWF playback.
